YBA ANNOUNCEMENTS


Dear YBA Parents/Guardians,

We are glad that you chose YBA this season for your child to learn more about basketball, academic success, sportsmanship, teamwork and more importantly life skills.  All of these characteristics and many more are part of the core principals that YBA was built on and continues to be emphasized each year.

Below are some important things you should know and can share with your child and other family members.

YBA clinic practice days are as follows. 

       ·      Popcorn Division (Ages 4-7): 8:30AM – 10:00AM    
       ·      D-League Division (Ages 8-10): 10:00AM – 12:30PM
       ·      Rookie Division (Ages 11-13): 10:00AM – 12:30PM             
       ·      Junior Divison (Ages 14-18): 10:00AM – 12:30PM

All YBA participants are required to do the following:

      1.     Be on time for practices and games.
      2.     Change clothes and utilize the locker rooms for storage of personal items.
      3.     No bags, clothes, food and drinks are allowed in the gym.
      4.     Wear shorts, t-shirt and gym shoes during practice. 
      5.     Give 100% effort at all times.
      6.     Demonstrate good sportsmanship and teamwork at all times.

We are a volunteer based program and we welcome those of you who are interested in helping to continue the YBA legacy for many more years to come.  Below are a few areas where we are in need of volunteers.
      
·      Coach/Assistant Coach
      ·      Team Parents for each Team
      ·      Fundraising
      ·      Uniform Distribution
      ·      Concessions 
      ·      YBA Awards Banquet
      ·      Parent Council (Plans the structure and activities for YBA program)
